This English text is a convenience translation of the Chinese Privacy Policy. If there is any inconsistency, the Chinese version prevails.

This policy applies to all services provided under Mars Report. If an affiliate uses Mars Report products or services without publishing its own privacy policy, this policy also applies to that use.
Personal information means information recorded electronically or otherwise that, alone or combined with other information, can identify a natural person or reflect that person’s activities. We collect and use personal information only for the purposes described below.

About device permissions:
The first time a feature needs a permission (camera, location, and so on), the system will ask you. You may allow or deny. Denying a permission may disable that feature, but other features still work. You can change permissions later in the device settings.

When SDKs start collecting data:
These SDKs are initialised only after you agree to this Privacy Policy. Until then we do not start them and do not collect device information through them. We have also technically blocked collection of IMEI, IMSI, MAC address, Wi-Fi information, cell-tower information and other data beyond what the features need.

To keep the software running, make visits easier and remember preferences, we may store small data files called cookies on your device. A cookie typically contains an identifier, a site name and some numbers or characters.
We do not use cookies for purposes other than those in this policy. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser. If you block cookies, you may need to reset preferences on each visit.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information you provide against unauthorised access, disclosure, use, alteration, damage or loss. For example:
The internet is not absolutely secure. Please use a strong password and safe practices. If you believe your personal information — especially your account password — has been leaked, contact us immediately so we can act.
If a personal-information security incident occurs, we will notify you as required by law: what happened, the likely impact, what we have done or will do, how you can reduce the risk, and any remedies. We will use email, letter, phone or push notification where practicable; if we cannot notify each person, we will make a reasonable public announcement.
You may access, correct, delete and withdraw consent regarding your personal information.

We do not charge for reasonable requests. We may charge a cost-based fee for repeated or excessive requests, and we may refuse requests that are unfounded, require disproportionate technical effort, risk others’ rights, or are otherwise impracticable.
Mars Report is intended for adults. If you are under 18, you should obtain a parent or legal guardian’s consent before using our services.
Where we have collected a child’s information with guardian consent, we will use or disclose it only as the law allows, as the guardian agrees, or as needed to protect the child.
If we learn that we collected a child’s information without verifiable guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as practicable.
Personal information collected through this website and Mars Report services is stored on servers in mainland China. We do not currently transfer your personal information outside mainland China. If a future business need requires a cross-border transfer, we will tell you separately (purpose, recipient, how and to what extent the data will be used, safeguards and risks) and obtain your consent, and we will require the recipient to protect the information adequately.
We may update this policy. If a change would materially reduce your rights, we will notify you before it takes effect — by a prominent notice on the site, email or another reasonable means. If you continue to use the services after that, you accept the revised policy.

In this policy it includes basic information (name, phone number and similar); identity information (ID card and similar); online identifiers (account, IP address and similar); property information (transaction records and similar); device information (model, MAC address, OS type, software list and similar); and location information (itinerary, precise location, accommodation, coordinates and similar).
Sensitive personal information: personal information that, if leaked, illegally provided or misused, may endanger personal or property safety or easily lead to reputational, physical or mental harm or discriminatory treatment. Device: a device used to access our services, such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Unique device identifier: a string assigned by the manufacturer that can uniquely identify a device (for example IMEI). Devices may have more than one. Uses include security, fraud detection, syncing services, remembering preferences and relevant advertising.
De-identification: technical processing so that the individual cannot be identified without additional information.
Anonymisation: technical processing so that the individual cannot be identified and the information cannot be restored.
